How to use this for builder research

Start with the ZIP comparisons, then inspect the source descriptions and project numbers to decide which records could be relevant to your project. A change in this table is a reason to investigate; it does not establish a change in competing inventory, buyer demand or completion timing.

Method and limits

We selected rows by their permit dates: July 1–31 and August 1–31, 2026. The frozen source collection includes 10 weekly reports overlapping those months, including the weeks crossing June–July and August–September. We removed exact duplicate rows before counting addresses separately within each month.

The same house/duplex description filter is used in both months. It selects Building Pmt house/duplex descriptions while excluding specified repair and ancillary work. Read the full filter and field definitions. Different descriptions can cause relevant work to be missed; an address may contain several dwelling units.

These are observations from the imported city reports, not a complete metropolitan construction census. They are not adjusted for seasonality, working days or later city corrections. Permit dates do not establish construction-start dates. We make no claim that the month-to-month difference identifies its cause.
