Houston house and duplex permit descriptions: where matching addresses appear

LotCodex analyzed 36 City of Houston weekly sold-permit reports with permit dates from January 5 through September 13, 2026. After removing 22 exact duplicate rows, the reports contained 14,673 distinct rows across all work types.

A defined filter for house and duplex descriptions matched 3,793 rows at 3,792 distinct address-and-ZIP combinations. The leading ZIP codes by matching address count were 77048 (412), 77091 (358), and 77018 (284).

These figures count source descriptions and addresses. They are not counts of homes, construction starts, completed projects or properties offered for sale. The analysis covers the full imported report collection, independently of LotCodex's selected 300-address directory. It does not cover the entire Houston metropolitan area.
